Juvenile Law

*Appointed by the City of St. Louis Circuit Court to represent individuals in its Drug Court Program.
*Domestic Violence Court Attorney.

Have you been wrongly hot-lined with Children’s Division? Has the court taken your children away? Has you minor child been arrested? The court acts swiftly in matters of child abuse, neglect and delinquency. There are short time standards set by the legislature regarding your parental rights and criminal prosecution of minors. You need someone now who is experienced in juvenile law to represent you or your child: that someone is me, Kelly Bolan Chevalier.

Your child can be taken from your care and placed in protective custody, without prior notice to you, by the State. The State must have a reasonable belief that you have caused serious physical harm or are a threat to life of your child to act. Within three (3) days of taking your child, the court must have a protective custody hearing. From sixty (60) days from when your child has been taken from you, there must be a hearing on the allegations of abuse. (See Missouri Supreme Court 124.01.) There is no time to waste with these short time frames. I know juvenile law and can act immediately to protect your given right to be a parent and make decisions for your children. Do not waste time, call me now.
